The purpose of this study is that a child can study and hang out with other people in school
amicably through child-centered art therapy and improving self-conception of North korean
defector\'s child. A participant was a girl, 6th grade in primary school, and was a North Korean
defector\'s child. A teacher in charge of her class requested social welfare manager to care of
her to change her behaviors. The participant has had a lot of dissatisfactions and enmities
regarding her friends. She curses them and can not hang out with them and even has a denial
in class. Following these facts and her features, there have 17 total sessions of child-centered
therapy program to improve a self-conception of child. For effect of therapy, used the pro and
post measure of self-conception and checked a change of color following process about change of self-conception with explanation of a child. To show about change of school life, used the pro and post KSD projective test and understood about meaning of symbol with explanation of child.
As a result, Not only the self-conception has been improved, but also the colors have been
changed following change of the self-conception. Also, the school life has changed due to
change of the self-conception through talking with a participant.
Therefore, this study showed that child-centered art therapy can help a North Korean
defector\'s child, to improve her self-conception so that hangs out with other people in school
amicably.
