This study aims to positively analyze the effectiveness of mentally disordered person's
family education program. To accomplish the purpose of the study, true experimental design
methodology was attempted to establish and solve three study problems about in what
aspect of family education were there effects to the attitude change.
To begin with, for true experimental design study, 10 participants of mentally disabled
people's family education of rehabilitation centers located in Chungbuk and 10
non-participants of family education were set as subjects. First, the homogeneous tendency
of family education program's experimental group and control group did not show
statistically significant difference in all of comprehension, attitude, and empowerment of
family education, which proved homogeneity. Second, in before and after difference of family
education program's experimental group and control group had statistically higher after
mean than before mean of experimental group in all of comprehension, attitude, and
empowerment of family education, which showed significant difference. Third, as a result of
comparing and analyzing comprehension, attitude, and empowerment of family education,
family education's own program effect had statistically higher after mean than before mean
of experimental group, showing significant difference and proving that there is effect.
Based on the analysis result of the above experimental design study specific practical
implication was presented that can support in seeking the program development and
direction of mentally disabled people's family education.
